WN3000RPv3 not seeing router
Hi
I set up four WN3000RPv3 extenders in access point mode connecting back to a business router via a Netgear switch. They worked find for a couple of months then all stopped. The lights on the switch show there's activity. When I connect to the wireless service on the access points it says there's no connection to the router.
The firmware version is V1.0.2.24.
Is there anything new that could have caused them to stop being able to talk to the router ?
What can I check next being that the switch is seeing activity but the access points all claim there's no connection to the router ? It sounds like they're perhaps not able to get a DHCP address. Using static or reserved addresses wasn't an option in this situation yet although I'm thinking that might be better.
There's little or no link activity on the access point port lights despite the router at the other end flickering away happily.
The cables are around 50m long, so within CAT5 spec.
Kind regards
Andy

Hello MRAW
You could test with one extender by factory resetting the unit and hooking it back up see if that will get it back online.

Thanks - I'll have a go with a factory reset.

I tried a factory reset and it still shows the same problem.
If I choose the Smart Setup I pick Access Point mode and then it says it can't connect to the router. There's no option to put in manual IP settings.
If I cancel and try and set up manually I can't see a way to change it to Access Point mode. I thinks it's in Extender Mode.
Since I want to connect to the router by cable I need to have it in Access Point mode. What's the manual way to choose this mode with the latest firmware ?

Hello MrAW
it should be a check box in advanced wireless settings to activate AP mode.
