WNDAP360 losing connection
So I have a WNDAP360, running the latest 2.1.1 firmware.
It is setup to be as basic as possible.
I have disabled the QoS features, and set the channel.
I looked with inSSIDer and got my 2 most free channels.
The 5GHz channel is totally free.
I have set my laptop to use the 5GHz channel and get excellent connection.
The WNDAP360 is connected to my HP Gig switch, using an injector for PoE.
I have tested with and without the injector directly into my Cisco ASA which has PoE.
So now my issue is.
I have a constant signal, the signal itself never drops.
But I get disconnects from services, eg I play League of Legends.
Now if I play through Wifi I get pvp.net disconnects, and it automatically reconnects after a bit.
Constantly!
If I connect the same laptop to the switch directly, I get no disconnects at all. Ruling out the Laptop. My desktop on the switch is also fine.
This means the only thing is the AP itself.
The WMM feature is disabled on my laptop.
I cannot think of anything else to do or try.
I have reset the AP when I did the firmware upgrade.
Thanks

- Nate5AspirantJust ran across this thread. Spent three late nights on jobsite with similar issue to what you all are describing. Very intermittent internet through WNAP320 with iPad/iPhone/MacAir. All show as connected with good signal but while one iPad is moving quick, another is dead with seemingly no internet. Up & Down constantly. Changes from device to device and sometime all are unable to get internet. Certain content also seems to be better.
Did turning off the "N" work as a temporary fix? - inigomlAspirant

Now there are less random reboots. About 1/10th. - jshelton_liAspirantSince we have turned off the N at a few of our clients we have not had any troubles. Also I have checked at several clients that have similar Netgear hardware that have not reported any problems and none of them have had Broadcom N series client devices.
- jrichAspirantI have 3 WNDAP350 units doing the same thing. Apple products will for all purposes drop connection, but still showing great signal and connection to the AP. Only way to solve the problem is to manually disconnect then reconnect to AP. Have tested with a Lenovo laptop using Intel chipset and also experience the same symptom, although not as often as Apple products. Any Apple product (iphone, macbook) will lose connection after 10 minutes use or so. Anyone found a solution or is turning off N the only possibility? Could one possibly use 2.4ghz radio for just b/g then use 5ghz radio for N?
- rdpettigrewAspirantBump this. I own a WNDAP360 I have a MBP and multiple iPhone 4s phones that are having connectivity issues. Just like everyone has stated the device appears to be connected but throughput is either painfully slow or non existent. My android devices do not seem to be affected as they rarely have wireless issues. Looking at the uptime I do believe that my AP is rebooting itself albeit not very often. Right now it has 10 days of uptime but I know I have not rebooted it manually in the past 10 days. Waiting patiently for a firmware fix...
- wndap360_rebootAspirantDeployed two WNDAP360 AP's at two offices which just went live and they both keep rebooting in seemingly random intervals. Spent some hours looking at PoE and other possibilities and then found this thread. Hoping for a fix with some urgency.
- xpitjjAspirantDid you have any success solving this issue? I am preparing to deploy the WNDAP360 for several clients, however in my testing it does not seem to maintain a stable connection on either 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz. Some clients work better than others, however overall the connection seems unreliable. Sometimes the AP reboots at random, other times it stays up but the connection drops or stops working at random.
Is Netgear planning to release an updated firmware to fix this? Many people seem to be having this issue. - jrichAspirantWith my 350's the only solution has been to just turn off the 5Ghz radio completely and run b/g. Yes this completely renders these APs useless for what they were purchased for, but at least they are usable to some degree.

Thanks for the suggestion, however even with that crippled configuration the WNDAP360 seems completely unstable. It still reboots randomly every few minutes even with only 2-3 devices connected to it. - Nick_123AspirantAlso having the same issue as you guys found when I do have a connection it is slow and often times out. Disabling 5Ghz band solved the problem for me but I'm hoping this is only a short term fix until netgear release new firmware.
