WPS connected WN3000RP to the router but devices can't access the internet thru the extender

Hi, thanks for your effort on this, however, no further forward. As before the extender hooks up with the router but no device will connect to the internet thru the extender. All the various devices I have - smart phones, tablets, Android, Apple even a Blackberry Playbook try to connect - you can see the connections arrows green light go on as the devices try to connect the statutory three times. But what has absolutely done it for me, is no variation of hpp://mywifiext.net will get to the extender menu using a direct ethernet connection between the laptop and the extender. Always get the 'Oops' message (see above). This has been the case through multiple factory resets and three to four different browsers. If this basic access facility doesn't work, then the extender is not fit for purpose. So it's with great and, I'm sure, enduring relief when I think of the time I've wasted over the last month, perhaps foolishly, thinking that Netgear would supply a reliable product, I have binned the extender and ordered an extender from an alternative supplier. I could still send it back to you if your technical department are curious as to find out what's going on and, perhaps, write a few lines of code to sort this out.

I notice my router has a URL - http://192.169. etc for Router Admin and I can get to the router using this without fail with an ethernet connection... Is there an equivalent for the WN3000RP extender that might get me into the menu instead of the 'mywifiext.net' which always gives me the Oops! page using an ethernet connection or, with the laptop WiFi off,
'This webpage is not available, DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET

Hi 4010sparky,
Please be sure to connect to only the WN3000RP extender's WiFi and no other internet connection, then visit http://192.168.1.250 or mywifiext.net

Could I just clarify what you have said so I understand it and do 'the right thing'. The current configuration and events:
- the router is connected to via internal copper to 'super fast broadband/fibre optic' to my service provider
- it provides a WiFi service to devices within range let's call the wireless network name 'housenet'
- all devices connected satisfactority to 'housenet' entering the wireless key/password on each device - also vistors have no problems
Then:
- having carried out a factory reset on the WN3000RP extender, I turn it on and after a couple of minutes, it connects to the router and appears in the device's list of available networks as 'housenet_ext' with all the green lights on other than the Connection Status light.
- I then select 'housenet_ext' (presumably as you have described it, 'connect to only the WN3000RP extender's WiFi and no other internet connection') on my laptop or other device and none will connect - my smartphone advises 'Unable to authenticate aginst the network' - the Connection Status light comes on for several seconds for each connection attempt.
SO I CAN'T CONNECT AS YOU HAVE ADVISED 'TO THE WN3000RPEXTENDER'S WiFi and no other internet connection' SO, CONSEQUENTLY, UNABLE TO GET INTO THE EXTENDER using WiFi....
So try a direct ethernet connection from my laptop to the extender: (Connection light comes on)
- entering http://mywifiext.net into a Chrome browser tab produces the Netgear Oops! page - 'It seems that you have navigated to this page by accident' - see above
- entering http://192.168.1.250 into a tab produces 'This webpage is not available ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT'
So no extender menu...
So an ethernet connection can't get in...
Have I got the connection process wrong in some respect??? If I'm doing what you have asked, can we conclude there is something wrong with the extender?
