Xbox One won’t connect to Wifi Extender

Question

Hello all. My Xbox One won’t connect to my ac1200 wifi range extender. it won’t connect to the 2GHz band or the 5GHz band, or the ethernet, yet my playstation will connect to all. why is this? sorry for the vague question but i don’t know what else to add
