2.4 GHz Vanished on Netgear R6220

My R6220 is on Firmware v1.1.0.114_1.0.1. Since a few months ago, none of my devices could find the 2.4GHz SSID no matter what. The 5GHz band is working perfectly fine, however. Below are the steps I have already taken that did not solve the issue:

1. Router hard reset.
2. Manually setting 2.4GHz channels from 1 to 13.

In the Home/Dashboard view, everything shows normal weirdly, as you can see in the image.

  • Try a 30-30-30 reset on the router then setup from scratch. First see if the default 2.4Ghz radio is seen by your devices. If so, then change to your custom SSID name.

If this fails to fix this, you may need a new router. The 6 series is getting up in age.

Thanks. I have already set it up from scratch, but unfortunately the problem persists. The default name (SSID) has also not been detected by any of the devices as well. My first thought was that it's done after all these years of nonstop use.

Can disable the wifi radios on the router and install maybe a EX series model wifi extender that has AP mode and connect it up for wifi as an alternative solution, otherwise, maybe time for something new.
