AC1200 R6220 ROUTER keeps disconnecting
I just plugged my router up about 2 weeks ago and from day one, it has been dropping the signal a few times per hour. It drops on 2.4 and 5g. I usually have 1 laptop and 2 cell phones connected to it, and signal is lost to all of them. I also have one thing plugged into it directly and that loses signal as well. It always comes back on within a few minutes or if I turn the router off and back on. Is there a way to fix this issue or do I need to send it back to Netgear?
Hi Drillerspawn1,
1. What is the firmware version of the router?
2. If the wired connection through the router also drops, there is a possibility that the connection from your ISP may have an issue.
3. Please try connecting a computer straight to your ISP''s modem and check if the connection is stable.
4. If it is still dropping via the modem, then we recommend contacting your ISP to have it checked.
