Access point not working
I have a Netgear router which has been used as an access point for past few years, I remember I had a bit of trouble setting up at the time. Anyway its worked fine for past 2 years but last night data just dropped off and internet stopped working, devices can contact to the wifi but pages won't load because no data coming through.
I have checked the ethernet from main router which normally goes to the net gear router by connecting to nearby TV and that works fine so no ethernet is not damaged and there is data going through it as the TV connected to it so just got the problem with net gear router the data light not coming on.
How do I get into the net gear settings page if I can't connect to the internet, maybe needs to update firmware or something?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

to get to the settings most likely you'll have to do a hard reset by pressing the reset button for 30 seconds with a paper clip and re-do the setup you had as an access point if you decide to update the firmware. Did you try restarting your router and maybe plugging the ethernet cord on a different port on the router to see if maybe you have one of the ports go bad?

If you can see the wifi from the access point, look for its IP address.
I use the Network Map in the desktop genie.
genie | Product | Support | NETGEAR
Then aim a browser at the IP address.
I've managed to figure out problem. I have a long 25m ethernet which I have used for years, although when I unplugged from router and tested in nearby tv it worked, it must not be working as good as when I moved my netgear router closer to main router and tested with 2m ethernet it was working perfectly. Its strange how it works fine with TV but router to router stopped working!
