AirPrint (Bonjour) does not work on my Netgear R6080 WiFi router
AirPrint (Bonjour) does not work on my HP Envy 4520 printer that is connected to my Netgear R6080 router (firmware version 1.0.0.54) via wireless connection. It works after I reboot the printer. After some time, it stops working and I have to use the HP Smart app in order to print anything. Recently, AirPrint did work for a month or so for some unknown reason, and then it mysteriously stopped working. My AirPlay-enabled stereo receiver also cannot be accessed using AirPlay when connected to the router via wireless connection. I have connected it to the router using an Ethernet cable in order to use AirPlay. Unfortunately, I cannot do the same with my printer because it does not have an Ethernet port. Given that both, the printer and the receiver, cannot be accessed using Bonjour services when connected to the router via a wireless connection, I suspect that the cause of this issue is the router. Can someone please help me? Thanks very much.

How fast is your Internet service? If you are paying for anything over 100 Mbps you are wasting money with that router.
According to Netgear's manual for this device, not always the most reliable source of information, the LAN and WAN ports support only 10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX. That makes it slower than many newer internet services and most modern network hardware.
It also slows down whatever is going on in your local network. Newer devices support at least 1000BASE-TX.
I have no idea if this is likely to cause the problems you see, but you may be putting a lot of strain on what is pretty well Netgear's cheapest and most basic router.- SunilSAspirant
Thanks for your reply. The problem happens even when there is no load on the router.
1. what modem/gateway is the router connected to?
2. have you went into the router and sent the printer with a reserved IP address?

Or on the printer itself?
How you do that depends on the printer's controls.

Thanks for your reply. I have an Arris TM822R DOCSIS® 3.0 Telephony Modem connected to the router. Thanks for your suggestion. I presume that, by a reserved IP address, you are referring to a static IP address. I will allocate a static IP address in the router for the printer.
