Attaching a Switch to a WNDR4500 Router

My WNDR4500 has all 4 LAN connections occupied. I would like to know if I can attach a Switch to one of the LAN ports in order to expand the number of connections.

Thank you.

Yes (assuming that you have a switch and a cable).

Yes (assuming that you have a switch and a cable).

  • A simple "yes' would have been preferred.

That being a Gbit router, a Gbit switch would serve you better in the future.

"preferred" by whom, you?  Who cares?

"would"?  Your confidence is impressive.  I'd say that it _might_,
but that could depend on the devices to be connected to the switch.
With my weak psychic powers, I can't determine that from the available
information.  I have a few old printers and other "Fast" Ethernet
devices which wouldn't care if they were connected to a gigabit switch
      or something slower.
