Battery Back-Up N600

Hi, I am 'new' to this community/forum.

Due to power outages I am looking for a Back-Up Battery to power my Netgear N600 Router.  { cable box already has is own back-up battery]. Any suggestions are appreciated.  Thanks,

  •   Hi Thanks to everyone.

      Figured that I would have to get one that is 480W to have a reasonable back-up time;

     found out that the N600 WNDR3400v3 draws 14.5w.

        Was looking and decided to go with this:

  • I'd buy a cheap UPS. Battery backup system.

    that way you can plug multiple systems into it like the modem and router.

    They can be found all over amazon or other 3rd parties.

    How long do you need to stay on line in the absence of power?

       Approx. 30 minutes to 1 hour ( had one instance of over 24 hrs).  Thanks

        From what I have seen, an hour might be possible with something less pocket shocking, but 24 hours looks more like generator country.

        You started  by wanting to maintain an WNDR3400v3. That won't need much juice, but what about the PCs and other stuff. They are the biggest consumers of watt-hours?
