Block Internet but keep access to LAN devices
Hello, I have a NAS on my local network. Router is Nighthawk R7000.
I would like to block all Internet access to/from it, but would like to have devices on my LAN still be able to access it.
I've tried the 'block access' and 'block services' route, but those seem to be all or nothing - they block Internet and local access together. I've read you can block services for the entire port range, and the device should still be visible on the LAN, but my roku loses connection to Plex on the NAS when I do this. Interestingly, I can still log in to it via http and use a mapped network path to access contents (which I would think would be disabled with all ports blocked?).
How can I do this?

You don't say which NSA devices these are, but my experience with several brands is that I have to go out of my way to allow them to get anywhere near the Internet.
Maybe a better place to seek help is on the support site for your NAS.

Thanks - the issue I'm having, though, is not with the NAS itself, but rather with the router. If I enable all connectivity on the router, I can get the NAS to work fine, just the way I want it to. What I'm trying to do, though, is to block Internet access to/from the NAS, while also letting it continue to communicate with my devices on the LAN. From what I've tried so far, it's been all or nothing - either it has access to Internet and LAN, or nothing at all. I just want to disable Internet only.

But you said that you wanted to keep the NAS off the Internet.
If the NAS isn't configured to connect to the Internet to do stuff why do you need the router to intervene?
