C6250 Wifi is very slow
The Wifi connection is terribly slow with with both 2.4Gh and 5Gh. When connected with a 3ft cat5e my laptop gets 100Mbps down but on WIFI I only get 25Mbps. That is wihtout moving it, so still within 3ft. My other devices, cell phones / game systems, have the same issues and the Netgear genie doesn't moniter speed in anyway. Even when I disconect all other devices and only one device connected it is still just 25Mbps.
MTU size is set to 1475.
I checked the speed with speedtest.net and fast.com.

2.4ghz is a slow network. That could be roughly its speed in your area.
what speeds are you getting of 5gh?
What channel are you testing on? have you tried other channels?
What device are you testing with?
- kidnicarisAspirantI guess the pic of my wifi settings didn't upload, another fail for Netgear. Okay, I am on channel 11 and yes I have tried other channels. I've tested it with my laptop, desktop, and cell phone each with the other devices disconnected and all get 25mbps when they are the only device. The desk is the only device with a 5gh antenna. What do you mean by that's just the speed in your area? My laptop is 3 ft away from the router and if I use an ether net cable i get 100Mbps. My question is why is the wifi slow?

2.4ghz is slow.
And it suffers from interference.
Its the whole reason for 5ghz/6ghz is the higher bandwidth they allow for more speed.
But they don't broadcast as far or through as much materials.
My old R6300 usually only hit 30-40mbps over 2.4ghz. but 5-8x faster over 5ghz.
