Can't access routerlogin.net/.com after factory reset, Model: R6200

I factory reset my R6200 and I can get the IP 192.168.1.1 via LAN plug in but oddly in the Windows network adapter screen it displays my "old" network name.  I can't access the routerlogin.net/.com page using wired or wireless.  I've factory reset it multiple times, held down the reset button while power cycling and still nothing.

The device LEDs respond as expected when factory re-setting the device.

Any help appreciated!!

  • Yes I am running Kaspersky.  I'll try that next.  Thanks for the feedback!!

  • Redo the factory reset, but this time disconnect all cables except power.  Wait for the reset to complete, then connect a single computer to a LAN port.  The computer should receive an IP address in the 192.168.1.X subnet.  Try routerlogin.net or 192.168.1.1.

This didn't work either.  I still got DHCP 192.168.1.1, I can ping it, but can't access either the IP or routerlogin.com/.net.

You wouldn't happen to have Kaspersky Antivirus installed?  For some reason, it simply doesn't like routers.  You may have to temporarily uninstall it, or try the suggestion in this Netgear article (link).
