changed ssid name,no longer broadcasts signal
changed ssid name only, left rest of settings alone. Now it now longer broadcasts signal
are the wifi leds lighting up if not on the back of the router you find a wifi on/off switch you said you had the wndr3400 v2 all three version have the switch on the back.of the router in the same place next the reset button.

Do a hard reset and then try again and see if that helps. Hard reset is holding the pinhole on the back with a paper clip for 30 seconds while it's on, but you'll have to reconfigure it (i.e. change it to the ssid and password that you want).

Wanted to change ssid name to "virus.exe", that wouldn't work for some reason. Your reset suggestion worked, however at that point no connection wired nor wireless. Just changed back to PoliceVan, back to having wired and wireless. Any ideas why it wouldn't accept virus.exe for a name? Thanks

must have to do security software in the firmware did like the name virusareus probably would work.
