Connected, no internet
Hi all. I tripped a breaker in my house yesterday and can't get the internet back up- saying connected no internet on all devices. I started out with shutting everything off then back on. Unplugged and plugged back in. Did a hard reset with the paperclip to the router. Unplugged everything overnight and plugged back in this AM. still not working. I just did a few more things- checked the IP address and it's on a 192 channel which I think is right. I did the ipconfig/flushdns- didn't work. Also tried ipconfig/renew and ipconfig/release. Nothing working (though it does say media disconnected which I'm not sure if that's normal). Went into the network connection and choose IPv4 and set the DNS manually to 8.8.8.8 and alt to 8.8.4.4. These are all the things I've done and still nothing. I'm just following along with various tips from the internet but nothing seems to fix the connection. Can anyone assist?

Details are key to helping out.
1. what router do you have?
2. what firmware is on it?
3. what modem/gateway is it connected to?
4. from the sound of it, you're connecting to the router but the router isn't connecting to your gateway. So details on that are key.
- MolliekAspirantHi. Thanks for responding! I have a modem from optimum my internet provider, I believe it says Arris on the side. And the router is a nighthawk r7450. I have no idea about firm wear or how to find that out! Any help is appreciated!!

What arris is it? Look at the model number on the label.
When you're logged into the r7450's gui (browser based login), the firmware will be on the status page
