Firmware v1.1.0.1.108 login issues
After upgrading both my Netgear WiFi Extenders 6150v2 to the latest firmware (EX6150v2_EX6100v2-V1.0.1.108.img) , both extenders do not allow me to login. After pressing the login button I am immedeately logged off. I attempted Username & Password Help but that still does not allow me to sign in.
They are working, but not accessable via any browser (Chrome/Edge/FireFox) using their IP addresses.
Both extenders have their each IP address on my network.
They both are working just not accessable.
Any suggestions?
You have them hardwired in and running in access point mode?
the only notes I see on the release notes are "supports security enhancements"
Not sure exactly what that implies but it could be whats causing the issue.
You might be stuck with doing the reset/reinstall. could be one part of the security enhancement not working properly with the old settings.

have you tried factory resetting and reinstalling them?
Sometimes firmware changes enough it causes issues.

To do a factory reset was the last option, but I was hoping not to have to do that.
If nothing else works and I can't get in, I might have to do that.
Thank you for replying.
While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge. Your WiFi Range Extender isn't the same as a router.
You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:
WiFi Range Extenders & Nighthawk Mesh - NETGEAR Communities
In the meantime you could visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.- DMAANDAGTutor
Thank you for your message.
I am well aware that I don't have a router, but an extender. It is connected to a LAN cable that runs from my ISP provider modem.
I have done firmware upgrades in the past and I look, check and verify on the Netgear support website first for the correct model and than have the extender verify by performing an auto-check if the firmware is exactly the same.
In the zip file there is an html document where the link refers to the same model extender.
I just wanted to know if anyone else is encountering the same problem that I had,
If nothing else works, then a factory reset and reconfigure everything by hand again.
Both my extenders are suffering from the same problem......
