How to connect my R6300 using my mobile device as hotspot?

Dear all

 

I am wondering how I connect my (old but excellent) R6300 Netgear using my iPhone as a hotspot:

 

My iPhone hotspot ---> connecting to Netgear R6300 (instead the usual lan cables)

 

Is this possible with the R6300? And if yes, how...?

...Or do I need another Netgear Modem?

    If the router has a wires bridge mode, then you could connect it to your phone wifi hot spot signal as a wireless client then you could use the LAN ports in back for wired devices. If the router doesn't then no, the router you have won't work.
