Internet speed slows SIGNIFICATLY when connected through router
When my PC is connected directly into the modem (CM1000) my speed test is about 900mbps, when I connect modem and PC to the router (AC1750) the speed is reduced to 150mbps. Please help me!
Thanks everyone for your support, apparently if you use the auto update feature, even when you press the update firmware button, it tells you the firmware is up to date, HOWEVER if you manually look on netgear's website there is a more recent version of the firmware: 1.0.4.126. I manually installed the firmware and I am now getting speeds of 600 mbps (wired), which is much closer to the 900mbps I get off router, and quite honestly good enough. Thanks everyone for their help!

A couple things.
1. AC1750 is a speed, not a model. what actual model do you have?
2. what firmware is on it?
3. try factory resetting it. During the reinstall, make sure to leave qos, access control, parental controls, and parental controls all disabled.
Then test the speeds.
4. more details on how you're testing speeds help. like device testing on, site, app, etc.

1,2) Router R6400v2, Firmware: V1.04.122_10.0.95 Modem CM1000 Firmware: V7.01.01
3) Factory reset did not seem to help; qos, access control and parental control are all disabled.
4) speed-testing through speedtest.net, comcast, and google
5) Thank you very much, I don't know a lot about what I'm doing.
