Large house—want to use two R6400 routers with single SSID
Hi,
I own two R6400 routers. Currently, secondary router is connected to primary via Ethernet cable, and I have two SSIDs broadcast from opposite ends of my large home.
I'd prefer to use 1 SSID.
Trouble is, I can't seem to login to the secondary router to set it up in the manner this article recommends <http://smallbusiness.chron.com/setting-up-wireless-routers-same-ssid-68675.html>.
Please offer solutions to this problem.
Additionally, I'd prefer to have seamless network transfer while I walk around my home. Will that happen automatically after both routers are running same SSID? Or will I have to tinker with channels?
Thank you.

use same SSID
use same PassPhrase
login to first router ...attached devices ...locate 2nd routers assigned IP....use address reservations to change IP if you want to

You will most likely have to play with AP (or router) position. There should be a slight wireless overlap between router and Access Point, so that a handoff can actually occur. Mostly, wireless clients are the issue, as some clients stick (hang on) to a wireless signal, until it fades to nothing. Don't expect miracles with consumer grade networking hardware.

Apple products are the worst regarding roaming!

Somewhere within the rabit hole of trying to find an answer to this problem, I thought I came across the fact that switching my secondary router to an AP would require me to turn off the primary router's WiFi capability; however, your instructions proved otherwise. Thank you!
