Looking to upgrade R6900P.
My Ring doorbell isn’t getting the connection strength I’d like, so I was thinking of upgrading my router. My R6900P is a few years old and I was wondering what would be a decent upgrade that won’t break the bank. I paid around $160 for this so I’d like to stay around that. Any suggestions?

Would maybe adding a extender to the router help with the RING doorbell device?
yea is your ring doorbell thing far away from the router? Is it connected to the 5ghz or 2.4 ghz band. I know the 2.4 ghz band reaches farther than the 5ghz. If its far maybe switch to the 2.4ghz band or get an extender to boost the signal.

Routers are restricted in how much power they can broadcast. Its the law! Newer routers come with various wells and whistles that aren't likely to mean much to an IoT widget.
