Need Wifi in my new metal building advice
Hi, I have wifi in and outside of my house but my new 30x24 metal garage won't allow signal unless I am by the window. I am wanting to receive from outside into the inside when it's closed up. We are about 50 ft from the house. Will an antenna outside and another router inside set up to bridge work for me or what is the easiest way?
Thanks in advance

Yes. There are all sorts of devices made specifically for this situation. (Internet search for 'wireless bridge'.) One solution might be to put a WiFi extender in the window.

If you're planning on being there a lot and this is only 50 ft, I'd take the time and trench in a underground rated ethernet cable. While it's a bit more work upfront, you'll have much better performance and its something that will last. I'd even get some cheap underground pipe to use and when you put it in, run a nylon string with it in case you ever want to upgrade. Pretty cheap to do and will be great for the future. IF that isn't possible, then I'd move to the wireless bridge option. A point to point system would be ideal

If the garage is getting power from the house, then powerline is another option. Performance does depend on the details of the power circuits, but it is easier than digging trenches or installing outdoor wifi, so you might want to do a risk-buy, and return the powerline kit if it doesn't perform well.
