Possibly Wrong Firmware on R6400?
When I went on my router login page for my router [AC1750 (R6400-100NAS) purchased 2016] the firmware shows as V1.0.4.84_10.0.58 with no new updates available for months when checked. However, the support page (https://www.netgear.com/support/product/R6400.aspx) shows the most up to date firmware is R6400 Firmware Version 1.0.1.70.
Do I have the correct firmware installed or is there a different page for older r6400s that I'm missing? I don't recall updating through any method besides the update check on router page. Just making sure before I do the manual update.
Thanks
Went ahead and downloaded the latest v1 update and everything seems good and up to date now, seems like somehow an older firmware update for v2 was installed and it prevented new updates from appearing.
Netgear should change their router update scan to scan for latest update based on router model to prevent things like this from happening.
Seems like a pretty big security vulnerability.

From the firmware version you stated that it has, you have a version 2. there's a drop down box that you can click on on the support site to switch between version 1 and 2.
There is a newer version for the version 2 at 1.0.4.106

Thanks for the reply, guess that's where the firmware was from.
I double checked the box, the router, and the router login page and it only states R6400, nothing of V2. Is there another way of confirming for v2 or should I go install the firmware for v1?
If you don't have a v1, don't try to use the firmware for it. (shouldn't let you though)
According to the firmware you listed you have, you have a v2. I linked to the v2 downloads.
I also attached a screen snip showing how to switch between r6400 and r6400v2.
Again, use the firmware for your device. If you look at the label on yours, it should even say v2 or similar after the model number.
