PPPoE is not working

I have recently configured PPPoE in my Router. It was working fine for some time (4-5 days).
After that it stopped working.

If I change the setting (Does your Internet connection require a login? to NO), network is workfing fine.

I have reset the router and tried rebooting the router but nothing is working.

Other settings:
Internet IP Address - Dynamic
DNS - Automatic from ISP
MAC - Default

Internet port Details:
PPPoE
MAC Address B0:7F:B9:C7:5B:99
IP Address 0.0.0.0
Connection PPPoE
IP Subnet Mask 0.0.0.0
Domain Name Server 0.0.0.0

Without PPPoE
MAC Address B0:7F:B9:C7:5B:99
IP Address 172.16.64.179
Connection DHCPClient
IP Subnet Mask 255.255.254.0
Domain Name Server 103.242.152.38
8.8.8.8

Model: R6220

Router Firmware Version: V1.1.0.50_1.0.1

Windows 7

Can someone help me on this.

Thanks,
Sumanth D.

  • Hi SumanthD,

    1. Please confirm with your ISP if your connection should be configured as PPPoE.

    2. If the DHCP settings work, it is most likely that that is how it should be configured.
