Questions about wifi router
I have a plan with spectrum that provides 400 mbps of upload speed with around 20-40 mpbs of download speed, i recently switched to the NETGEAR AC1600(R6330) as opposed to the standard spectrum router. I am now getting speeds of 70 mbps upload speed to 2.5-5 mbps download speed and it is “very fast” when i run speed tests. If anyone knows if im not getting the plan im paying or if the change in numbers mean the same thing please let me know. And/or any advice on what to do would be extremely helpful.

i recently switched to the NETGEAR AC1600(R6330) as opposed to the standard spectrum router.A router usually sits behind something else. Either a modem or an ONT (Optical Network Terminal). What do you have? Spectrum has supplied many different devices over the years, so the "standard" could be anything.

Wifi tests just tell us about the speeds of your wifi clients. (The R6330 is a pretty average device on the wifi front, but should do fine with most clients) They are a poor indicator of your Internet service. To measure that you should use a wired connection.
