R6080 - opening ports does not work

I have been trying to open ports on my router recently to no avail on Windows 10. I logged into admin, opened ports as the guide said, but nothing works and canyouseeme can't detect the open ports. My setup is just a modem from my ISP connected to the router, it isn't one of those router/modem combos. Do I need to set a static IP?

Hi zeether7, we'd like to know the following.

What is the firmware version of the R6080?

When bypassing the router and connecting straight to the modem, does the port check indicate an open port?

The firmware is version 1.0.0.52. I cannot connect directly to the modem because it's used to connect to the router and can't act as a router device itself.

Thanks for responding. The test of bypassing the router allows us to check if the port is being blocked from the ISPs end since you've mentioned that you've tried forwarding the ports from the router's end.

    Any progress on this?

No, I haven't had any luck. I tried connecting directly to my modem as someone stated but it won't work, and I have given the model number and brand of it.

Are you able to go online when connected straight to the ISP's modem? If yes, were you able to run the port check and what result did you get?
