R6220 loses connection after 30min

Hi guys, I recently made the switch from my old & trusty Asus RT-N15U to a R6220.

I ran the interface and was instantly connected. But for some reason that I can't figure out, every 30 min I lose connection to the internet via the router.(from the time interval I am guessing this has something to do with IP renewal). All devices, 2.4 and 5ghz and ethernet, no connection. And it stays that way untill i reboot the router. It's connected to a gigabit Huawei switch owned by the ISP, and I never had any problems with the old router. And if I connect to the switch straight to my laptop it works fine, so nothing happens on the broadband side.

I'm running V1.1.0.42_1.0.1 and I have tried reseting and flashing the firmware. I'm running dynamic IP and DNS from the ISP as recommended but I  have also tried static google dns, same issue. The genie interface says internet status: OK but obviously it's not, the log doesn't say anything either.
