R6400 port forwarding not available
I have a r6400 router and I am trying to turn on the port forwarding and it is unavailable?
must be in the settings but I am unsure on where to look
thank you in advance
Jeff
Worth a note: If your R6400 (or any other Netgear router) is operating in Access Point mode - not as a router - there can't be any port forwarding available.

R6400 or R6400v2? Look at the product label. Firmware version?

If only there were some kind of "User Manual" for these devices...
But, wait!!!
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your (actual) model number,
and look for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Read. Look for "Port
Forwarding"?Worth a note: If your R6400 (or any other Netgear router) is operating in Access Point mode - not as a router - there can't be any port forwarding available.

Why?

Which one? Desktop? Mobile?
Most stuff is best done with the browser graphical user interface.

Not a cloud based system then. That's why Arlo is so much easier to use, albeit at a price.
As schumaku says, I assume that the R6400 is not in AP mode.
