R7000 port forwarding not workiing

Hi,

I have set several different port forwards and none of them work, the only port which seems accesible externally is 8080 for remote access.  I have read all the posts on this forum and cant find any solutions.  I am using the latest firmware -  V1.0.7.6_1.1.99.  I have tried removing the entries and re-adding but this does not change the outcome.  I have checked the log and nothing is noted.

None of the ports show as open using http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

    Hi

    thanks for your reply.

my ISP is not blocking port 9 (WOL) and even if I put the PC into the DMZ, it still does not receive the WOL packet via port forwarding.

I am using a Cisco modem, not a modem/router so no place to change any settings.

    Any other ideas?

    Cheers

    Brendon.

    Hi badler,

    1. If your router is connected to gateway/modem-router, make sure you have the ports forwarded there pointing to the router IP.

    2. Try using DMZ for the LAN IP you are forwarding the ports to as an isolation step.

    3. Check with your ISP to see if they are blocking any ports.

        Hi badler,

NETEGAR home routers do not support WOL, unfortunately.
