Hi jvbuttex,
1. What is the firmware version of the router?
2. Is your main network the 5GHz band? If it is, then not all wireless devices can detect the 5GHz band. Please check the device specification and make sure that they are dual band devices (can connect to both 2.4GHz and 5GHz).

Hello Dexter... Sorry for late reply, I didnt get any email notificaiton of your reply. My router has V1.1.050_1.0.1 version running.
yes 5GHz is main network. I had the printer connectied without issue about 3months ago. It seems somethign changed... A buddy said it may have a black list running that will keep some devices from connecting. Is this true?
Im verifying the printer settings just to make sure... I know I did add this router recently...

After a bit of searching on Canon webiste. I found it... the printer only supports 2.4Ghz... so I am confusing the connectivity issue with the old router. I will change the setup so that I can use the 2.4ghz for my main network. Thanks for pointing me in this direction.
