Upgraded Internet Speed and Netgear600 router won't support it....I think.
I have a surfboard SB6183 Modem and the N600 router. I previously had comast blast 75/10 and was getting these speeds hardwired with my imac. I upgraded to 150/25 and the speeds went to 90/22. When wired directly into the modem I am getting 175/25. I am no computer wiz but from my research I have found my wan port is set at 100m/full and it seems it needs to be at 1000m/full. I cannot figure out how to change this, any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the quick reply, it is the WNDR3400V3 model.
Yes, that one is also fast ethernet, and not gigabit. http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/datasheet/en/WNDR3400v3.pdf?cid=wmt_netgear_organic
So you'll need to upgrade the router to take advantage of the your faster internet speeds.

Which N600 are you talking about? That is not a Netgear model number.
Here's a clue on where to look:
If it is a really old box, then the LAN ports will be 100 Mbps. Newer models are 1000Mbps.
If it is a 100 Mbps router, such as the JNDR3000 and WNDR3400v2, then you are stuffed. There are no settings that you can tweak to make it go faster.

Almost any of new gigia port Netgear routers will work the r6400 of r7000 should just if the wndr3400v3 covered the with wifi. The my slow for now but keep it as you make a repeater or access point out of it to cover areas where not cover now.
