What modem do I need for R6250 - I didn't realised I'd need one!

I bought a Netgear R6250 at Christmas and have only just got round to opening the box. The instructions say to connect it to your modem but I don't have a modem, only the free router that TalkTalk sent me. I just assumed, I'd plug it in and off I go. What do I need to buy to make this router work? Thanks

What is the make and model # of your talk talk router. I'm guessing it's a wireless modem router that uses mobile data. If that's true then use r6250 in AP Mode connected to your TT

    Hi @lilwood,

You have several options depending on how you want to setup your network. Do you want to replace your existing router? Do you you want to setup a separate network with the R6250? Or do you want to have a single network and setup the R6250 as an access point?

I just wanted to replace my existing router with one that reaches all over my house as the connection drops out when trying to listen to music via wi-fi
