Wifi Not Working

I am unable to connect to the internet through my router. I contacted my ISP and everything is working on their end. I can connect my laptop directly to the modem and use the internet that way. I have tried resetting the router and have unplugged it and plugged it back in but nothing seems to work. I have also tried connecting to the internet on my computer through the router but that did not work either. I cannot update the firmware because it states there is no internet connection. Please help!

  • ISPs often will allow only 1 device to connect to the Internet.  Your ISP may have locked onto your computer.  Unplug the modem for several minutes.  Connect the router to the modem and then plug the modem back into the power.  Check Internet access.

I tried your suggestions but it still is not working. When I try to use the Wifi on my computer it shows a triangle error and when I diagnose the problem it says the DNS server isn't responding.

Log into your router and see what DNS servers it is using.  Try to ping them from your computer.  If you can't ping them, you can try changing the router to use different DNS servers, like Google's (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4).
