WNDR3400v3 blocking email & can't do factory reset

Hi there, 

 

One of my email accounts was compromised and now my netgear router is blocking this account (can't download/send email from Outlook, can't go to webmail online).  I have tried to do a factory reset but it won't work (I've tried a number of times).  Before I head out and buy a new router (NOT netgear!) I'm hoping someone can help me unblock my email or disable the firewall that is blocking it.  

 

My security settings don't seem to have the option to unblock a firewall.

    Welcome to the community!

     

    Do a factory reset then reconfigure the router to get the Internet connection back. 

    If the factory reset steps didn't help, try the steps below. 

     

    1. With the unit powered on, press and hold the reset button on the back of unit for 30seconds.

    2. Without releasing the reset button, unplug the unit and hold reset for another 30 seconds.

    3. Power on the unit while STILL pushing the reset button and count for another 30 seconds before letting it go.

      Thanks for the advice!  I did manage to do some sort of reset, but it doesn't seem to be a full reset as it is still using my old password and blocking my email.  What else can I do?

        Did you follow the other reset instruction?

        That should fully reset the unit and should not use your old password.
