AC2400 how to disable internet on some devices
Hi,
I am trying to secure my ip camera in the house and I want to block them from accessing internet, so I can only connected to them when I VPN to home network. How do I achieve that with AC2400?
I tried Access Control, but it disabled device from communicating with any other device in the network and I want only disable talking to outside. Also tried Blocking Services but User Defined with range of ports, I don't know what Service Name to use and nothing works.
Thanks
Adam

AC2400 is not a router model but a speed. What is your router model?
Which firmware do you run? Not "the latest" but a version.
As for blocking Internet;
- Go to Advanced -> Security -> Block Services
- Set Service Type to User Defined, set protocol to TCP/UDP
- Set Start Port to 1 and End Port to 65535
- Give a name to your device in "Serive Type/User Defined"
- Enter its IP address. It's best to DHCP reserve an IP address to your device so it always gets the same one.- kurak38Aspirant
I have NETGEAR Nighthawk AC2400
Firmware Version V1.2.0.92_1.0.1 About the setup that is what I did, as you described, but it does not add devices when I click Add:
it shows dialog
and then nothing pops on the list od blocked services

Must be a bug in the firmware. I can confirm it works here, but I use a different router & firmware
You can try using the Nighthawk app and pausing the Internet there.

The one freaky Netgear device where the twerps in marketing picked the speed label for the model number.

Fortunately it was a one off.
