AC3200 not putting out wifi speed it's receiving from modem

Ok, so I bought a new AC3200 Nighthawk Router. It is putting out about 80mbps and inconsistent upload speeds. I hade Spectrum come out, and they tested everything. They gave me a new modem, must as a precaution, but everything is working on their end. Coming out of the line and coming out of the modem, we're receving average 500mbps speeds, but the modem is not putting out more than 100 on average. It's giving us pretty crappy internet at this point. My wife is having trouble doing invoicing and other business tasks in our home office.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Is it a setting issue? I am computer illiterate when it comes to hardware, and I've never really messed with router settings outside of the initial setup and following instructions.

    A couple things.

    1. what actual modem do you have?

    2. what firmware is on the router?

    3. What hardwired speed do you get from the router?

    4. the R8000 has smart connect which moves devices from 2.4ghz to 5ghz. 2.4ghz is slow and suffers from interference. Have you tried disabling smart connect and speedtesting each band?

      I assume R8000?

I haven't tried turning off smart connect. It is current putting out two 5ghz bands and one 2.4ghz band. It doesn't seem to switch us between them without us doing it though. The tech said the 5ghz bands were outputting as if they were 2.4ghz though.

        Try turning of smart connect.

And then testing the following and report it back here. You, not the tech.

Also put what device you're testing on.

        2.4g:

        5ghz-1:

        5ghz-2:

        Wired:
