Anker Nebula Capsule Max unable to connect to Netgear NighthawkX6S AC3000

For Christmas, I received a wifi projector (Anker Nebula Capsule Max).  This projector supposedly has the ability to connect to your wifi, and be able to play Netflix, Amazon movies, etc however, I cannot get it to connect to our router/wifi.  Through the Nebula community, I was able to troubleshoot it a bit and rule out a few things, bringing me to it being a possible router issue.  I turned my phone into a hotspot and it connected to it without problems, but when I try to connect to any of my wifi channels, it clocks and clocks and clocks, and then gives an error (Connection timed out).

For reference, I've tried taking the password off.  I've tried to connect to 2.4, and 5.0 channels.  I've tried to open up a guest channel with and without passwords.  None of this has worked.

What can I try, in order to get it to allow my projector to connect to it?  I'm scared to mess with too much, as I have 26 things connected to our wifi, and I really dont want to have to go back and reconnect Vaccum cleaners, doorbells, Tvs, etc.  HELP!

    What modem/gateway do you have?
What firmware is on the router?
What actual router do you have? AC3000 is a s peed, not a model.

As you may have gathered, I'm a bit of an idiot when it comes to this, making this a much bigger problem than it should be, lol.  I appreciate your efforts to help me get this working!

zhone? Do you have a model number of it?

Reason I'm asking is some devices have issues when you're running a double nat. that's 2 routers in router mode on a network.

Many ISP supplied modem/gateways have an integrated router.

So just trying to establish if that could be the issue.
