Best way to lessen bright LED lights?
The white LED status lights on the top of my AC1900 Nighthawk R6900P router are very bright. The device is in a guest room, and it is enough to make me worry it will disturb my guests' sleep. Is there any control to turn down the brightness of these status lights?
Yes, there is always the workaround of putting a piece of cardboard or something over the top of the lights, to hide them. I'll do that if I have to. First, I'm hoping someone has a better suggestion.

The manual explains how to do this:

See the section Disable LED Blinking or Turn Off LEDs.

you can't control the brighness, only whether they are on or off. Turning them off might be another solution. But if you need to see the status, covering them up with some tape that lets less light through is the only other solution

That may be the best practical way. I use (modern) paint-masking
tape (with a long-life adhesive), sometimes multiple layers.
Be careful when covering combined LEDs and button-switches.- FURRYe38Guru - Experienced User
I use Post-It notes to cover LEDs. Still can see some of the light however lessens the brightness. Doesn't mess up the case and easy to remove if needed.
- KicomanTutorWould be nice to have cron schedule the leds on or off each day.
