emoji als ssid (updated)

recently seen a wifi network using an emoji as SSID

been trying to figure out how to do this since just pasting unicode, for example; U+1F30A, just turns out as ?? as network name in my network list.

anyone have any tips for me?

  • I don't think that the textbox is designed to understand that unicode.

Hardcoding it will be the solution or use a 3rd party firmware that allows it.
