Firmware corrupted on( R9000)

I was performing an automatic (from the web...deeply regret trying that now)  firmware update to 1.0.3.6 and i saw some sort of memmory error in the browser mid update. Lost connectivity to everything and now my router is stuck in flashy power light mode. Ther was no power loss at any time and I left things sit for quite a while. I tried downloading Tftp2.exe and mannualy flashing the firware after doing a 30-30-30 reset, still no results and tftp says it got no response. My computer is set to 192.168.1.5 and i can ping 192.168.1.1 just fine so its not a connectivity issue. Every once in awhile i see a upgrading flash button that gets part way through than dies. 

 

Where do i go from here.....I need this to start working.

       This may be typical for that TFTP2.EXE program.  Have you tried the
    Windows command-line TFTP program?

      Thanks for the response! Thats pretty much what I've tried, it seems to stall out mid load....going to give another dozen tries and hope it works.

        Your first message doesn't fit in with my understanding of how the tftp thing works. Probably because it came before you tried tftp.

         

        I would do everything off line. Download the firmware. Disconnect the router from the modem. Connect it to a PC and go from there.

         

        What does this mean?

        Have you tried with a previous firmware version?

         

        Did you do the "long-press" of the reset button to get the thing into recovery mode? The power LED should flash white, if my memory isn't shot.
