Help with connection

We lost our Internet last night during a storm. This morning the provider says my router is online my Roku TV shows excellent signal strength, but it will not connect to anything. Nothing in my house that requires Internet will work, including Alexa security cameras, my garage door opener. I’ve tried to unplug and reset the router or modem whatever it’s called multiple times and even though it’s connected to everything nothing is actually working. Is there something else I can do?

Yes.  Start off by specifically identifying the model number of your router or modem or whatever.  Look on the nameplate.

Once you have the model number, go to the Downloads section at the top of this page, and feed in the model number and it will take you to a page where you can download the user manual.  There is a section in the manual on troubleshooting with the LEDs on your device.

Additional help is available here once you identify your product and what the LEDs are indicating on the front.

Storms area great way to kill electronic equipment. If they come with lightning, the voltage spikes are more violent than anything that a surge protector can handle.

As Kitsap says, a good place to start is with the LEDs.

    Visit the support pages:

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.

Look for the model number on the label on the device.

Check the section in the manual Troubleshoot With the LEDs.
