High ping fast WiFi on my R8000p router
So I’ve been experiencing high ping on my game and I cannot seem to find out why I live close to the game servers and I still get high ping I always use to get 10-20 ping now I get 60-100 ping and it bothers me I was told to try changing my forwarding port but I don’t know how and I did WiFi speed check and it says I’m suppose to get 11 ping were on the highest plan right now I was told to contact Netgear so now I’m here for answers so please if someone understands me please help me figure out this problem please please
The Arrris DG1670A is a modem/router combo device. It isn't just a modem.
It causes a double nat and can increase ping times.

What firmware is on your router?
What modem is it connected to?
Do you ping times stay roughly the same if you connect your gaming device directly to the modem?
- My router connected to an cable one arris modem
And I updated the firmware to the newest one V1.4.1.64_1.3.25
- I didn’t mean to do that but I don’t have another router
