I have an AC1900 Netgear Nighhawk Router that doesn't work with Spectrum, do I need to change router
Hello,
I have a Nighthawk router AC1900 that I've used for a few years, recently got Spectrum services and it doesn't seem to be compatible, just switched from ATT Fiber. I updated the Firmware to no avail, any suggestion on fixing it myself or do I need a new router?
Looking for suggestions on a replacement as well, I have a: PS5,Computer, Security System, Apple TV, Smart TV, 2 Smartphones.
Network Bandwidth - 400/20
Home Sq Footage - 1,600 Ft, router is on the far corner of the house, while some network devices are on the opposite corner.
Thank you!

what actual router do you have? AC1900 is a speed
What modem/gateway do you have from spectrum?
who told you it doesn't work with spectrum?
Details are key as I haven't found a router only device that won't work with spectrum.

Spectrum Wave 2
R6900 gigabit I believe
When the technician hooked it up the internet showed to be red and wouldn't work, we rebooted the router and reset it to no avail. Then I updated the firmware which didn't work as well. The Wave 2 provided by Spectrum isn't very good either.

Spectrum has 3x wave 2 routers.
Try putting the R6900 in access point mode and connecting it to the spectrum device.
