Internet light goes amber on R7000
The internet light will change from white to amber and I have no internet access through the router. This has happened 3 times. The 1st two times I had to do a hard reset though the hole in the back...

Will check the traffic control settings.
My modem is a Motorola 6141 which I will be changing to a Arris/Motorola 6183 when the modem is released for retail in a couple weeks.
The amber light thing came back 3 hours ago. This time I had to take the router totally out of the loop, do a hard re-set, let it set for an hour to get it going again.
I bought the R7000 through Dell using a couple of their discount coupons, about 6 months ago.so called them to get a good number for Netgear warranty and replacement.
Much to my surprise, even though it was past their normal 30 day replacement period, they are going to send me a new R7000 early next week.
I really like this router as I get range on the 2.4, 5.0 and AC bands I didn't think possible, but this amber light thing is getting very frustrating.

I have been afflicted with the same issue. My network has been working just fine and suddenly last night *poof*. Too tired to dig around on it, I started looking this morning.
1) ALL network traffic has come to screeching halt. LAN and WAN. I can't connect locally to or from either my Plex server or my web server siting on the LAN.
2) A check of the connectivity reveals the router is not grabbing any info from DHCP from the ISP (Time Warner via Motorola SB6141). All 0s in IP, SN, DNS, etc.
3) Connecting a laptop directly to the modem reveals a normal connection to the world.
4) Several cycles of both the modem and router have not resolved the issue.
5) The internet connection light on the router is neither steady on or steady off. Instead, it is red, but flashing sporadically as if there were traffic
6) I have disconnect every machine on the network from the router - still same story.
At this point, I can only try a hard reset of the router to return to factory settings.
Any other suggestions?
