Netgear X6 AC3200 - which network?

Hi

I have 3 networks coming up

  • NETGEAR25
  • NETGEAR25-5G-1
  • NETGEAR25-5G-2

Why are there 3 networks and which 1 do I choose to connect to?

What would be the best for range?

I'm not in a big house but there are 2 rooms (1 that I use as a study) that struggles for signal.

Thanks

  • The R8000 supports smart connect (band steering). You can turn that feature on and it sets a single ssid for all 3 bands and lets the router steer devices between the bands as needed.

  • Because this router model is tri-band?

Use a wifi scanner on your phone/laptop and see which radio band gives you the best signal. In general, 2.4 GHz is more about range than throughput, while 5 GHz is the reverse
