Nighthawk app and no connectivity
I went to login to my laptop the other day and it would not connect. After checking, none of my devices that had worked fine the day before would connect even though there was a signal. I reset and restarted my modem, but still nothing will connect.
I then tried to see if I could sort the issue throught Nighthawk app, except that keeps closing so no joy there either.
Can anyone help with this as the modem has only just finished the tech support period and I lost out on a day of working because of this?

What is that modem?
The R6700 in your footer is a router. It usually has a modem in front of it.
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:- Turn off and unplug modem.
- Turn off router and computers.
- Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
- Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
- Turn on computers and rest of network.

Also, to clarify.
1. are devices saying "connected, no internet"?
2. is it broadcasting wifi but you can't even connect to it?
3. Is it not even broadcasting wifi at all?
4. do wired devices work?
Just trying to clarify what is actually happening.

Hi,
It is broadcasting a signal but devices cannot connect (2). Cable access does not work either.

How about answering these questions?
What is that modem?
are devices saying "connected, no internet"?
When a device cannot connect, it usually throws up some sort of error message. These can help to diagnose what is going wrong.
And what does this mean?

You have cable Internet with a cable modem of some sort?
