Nighthawk AX8 firmware update wifi issues

So I complete a firmware update yesterday and now the system can't recognise the 2.4 and 5 G wifi.

I also have many smart devices connected and now they don't connect properly.

I see a new smart setting which will allocate devices to which wifi they will connect to but this does not work either.

firmware version V1.0.5.126

APP version2.10.5.17

Any ideas as I can't get support from Netgear.

  •  Mine autoupdated yesterday and disconnected me from my netgear router which i use for gaming. my spectrum router works fine but the nighthawk app wont connect because it say my netgear router is disconnected. i bridged the nighthawk router months ago because i was getting double nat issues and that fixed it but now it seems like its not supported anymore from what i could find. All in all i just want this issue to be fixed.

What actual router do you have? (look on the label)

Anytime theres an issue after a firmware change, the first thing I'd try would be a factory reset and reinstall. sometimes the firmware can change enough that an old setting can cause issues.

My model is RAX80 (AX6000). Thanks very much. I will try this but will it try to update the firmware to the most current version?

A factory reset doesn't change firmware. It only clears out the settings.
