Nighthawk R6700 No Internet Connection/Wifi not working

Switched from ATT to Spectrum as ISP. Different modem from Spectrum now connected to Nighthawk router. All lights are on, full wifi signal on my Iphone, but no internet connection. I have rebooted. Also have disconnected and restarted each non phone device. To no avail. Any suggestions?

What is the brand name and model number of your new modem from Spectrum?

Rebooting your devices is not often sufficient to establish a connection with new devices such as your new modem.

Power down, pull the power cord, to your new modem.  Power down, pull the power cord, to your R6700.  Disconnect the Ethernet cord between your modem and router.

Power up the modem and be sure and give it ample time to boot and establish a connection to your ISP.  One of the last LEDs on the modem should indicate an internet connection.

Reconnect the Ethernet cable between the output port on the modem to the input port on your R6700.  Power up your router and give it ample time to boot and stabilize.  One of the last LEDs to illuminate should indicate an internet connection.

The modem appears to be a private label/Spectrum unit. Model E31U2V1. It has One Ethernet port and two voice ports as well as a cable connection port. Very spartan.

I have tried powering down and back up a few times, to no avail. But will follow your instructions exactly and see.

The tech from Spectrum said the Modem had a full/high internet connection. Is there any way for me to test this myself? My laptop does not have an ethernet port.

Since att tends to use modem/router combo devices as their gateway, you might have had your router in AP mode to have it function properly (and just not remember setting it up).

michaelkenward suggestion of a factory reset might be your fastest bet

Not sure what AP mode is, but duly noted. I did conduct a factory reset.

Post reset, the first time I was going through the setup process on the Nighthawk app, it passed the "connection cables" phase then got stuck on "Internet Connection."  Every time I have tried after that, it gets stuck on "Connection cables." Which is weird. I have changed out the Ethernet cable, but no luck. It is connected from the only Ethernet slot on Modem to the WAN slot on Router.

Update: Per Kitsap's detailed instructions, I conducted a power down, disconnect, power up, etc.
