Nighthawk R7000 Cannot Log IN after Firmware Downgrade.
I purchased a Nighthawk R7000 in May of this year. I was constantly having issues with random dropped connections between the router & my CM700 modem. After doing some searching in the Community, I found that this was a common problem for firmware versions after v1.0.9.42. Therefore, I downgraded from v1.0.9.136 to v1.0.9.42. All of my devices have connected okay, but I cannot log into the admin page. When I enter my password, I get the Router Password Recovery page. When I enter the router serial number, the Continue button never appears as if it does not recognize what I typed as a valid serial number. So, that is a dead end.
I have not tried a reset to factory defaults. I am reluctant to do so in case I get into a worse mess than I am already in.
Any thoughts?

Probably should avoid downgrading to far. I would progress back up to what you had loaded Or,
Have you tried the latest FW version?

FURRYe38,
I was at v….136 before I downgraded & was still having the dropped connection issue. The main problem now is that I cannot log in to load another version of the firmware, or do anything else.

What does it mean "was still having the dropped connection issue"? Is this the router loosing connection with the modem or or is this a wired or wireless problem your seeing? More details are needed.
Factory reset the router and setup from scratch...I ran my R7000 with v.134 and ran great when i had it online back then:
Its on v.136 now however is being used as a wireless bridge client.
