Nighthawk R7350 only getting 300mbps on Spectrum Ultra 500 Service
Within the last month I recently subscribed to Spectrum Ultra 500 service. The technician came up and told me I was definitely getting almost 600 or more from the modem. I tried my Wavlink router first, it was only getting about 200 to not quite 300. Then I hooked up my Netgear r7350 which I find is a better Router. And I'm getting only about 333 almost pretty steady. We tried complete factory reset more then once, and yes I have the latest firmware. And that doesn't seem to get any higher than 333 on the average. Testing with Wi-Fi Tablet and more then one Wi-Fi phone that is used as Wi-Fi only. I'll give me the same speed through the Ookla speed test. And are tested only one at a time, separately so it's not using bandwidth.
The specs on the router should allow me to get the 500 that I'm subscribed to. I've tried many times to reset to different settings reset again, and no such luck still around 300 or so. The highest I can get is about 333.
Is this router not compatible? According to some websites that are saying the best routers for spectrum this one is on the list!

I have to reply to my post to add an addition to it, as it will not allow me to put it into my main post.
But anyways I do want to add that I am definitely getting the proper upload speed for the ultra 500 service is 20mbps and that's perfect reading about 20 to 23. On all my devices! So I know I'm getting what I'm supposed to as far as the service but just not getting the correct download speed.

Tests done over wifi test the performance of the wif clients involved. They tell you little about the performance of your router.
300 Mbps is pretty good for many wif clients.
If you use the Nighthawk app to test speeds, that also uses Speedytest/Okla in the process. The app may connect ti the router with wifi, but all it does is to tell the router to test the speed of its connection to the modem. It is effectively the same as a wired test through the router.
yes I have the latest firmware.Famous last words. That won't convince many people without telling is the version of the firmware.

First of all for your final last words, firmware version.V1.2.0.92_1.0.1
And second I've tested it with both the Netgear app and also just using the speed test app on its own and I'm getting the same results from both. So it's got to be something in the router that's not letting get the results that I subscribe to. I have a friend who has Netgear router and Spectrum modem and only the 300 service and he's getting 350. I know you can't compare apples and oranges but I should be getting more than 300 on my service.

Actually that will probably all you see with between your devices and this model router. 5Ghz AC and most 2x2 devices top out at around 200-500Mbps with 40-80Mhz channel width. You'll not see over this. Nature of 5Ghz AC.

Which bits of "the specs" is that?
Never believe any promise of wifi speeds.
Marketing BS kicks in and they will combine all sorts of fancy numbers to make the hardware look good.
The only one that really matters as a test of throughput speed is the:
Five (5) 10/100/1000Mbps—(1 WAN &
4 LAN) Gigabit Ethernet ports
