Nighthawk X6 AC3000 (R7900) Speed Not Reaching 500mbps
Hello
I am located in Texas, USA.
I have the NETGEAR Nighthawk X6 AC3000 (R7900). I recently updated my internet speed from 300mbps to 500mbps.
When I tested my hardwired internet to my desktop, I am only getting 340mbps. The signal chain was Modem -> Nighthawk Router -> Trendnet Switch -> Hardwired Desktop PC.
I started troubleshooting and then connected the modem directly to my deskop. This setup gave me the correct speed of 500MBPS.
I then eliminated the switch and went modem-> nighthawk router-> hardwired desktop PC. The issue presented itself again and only getting ~300mbps. The weak link here is the nighthawk router.
Note: I already confirmed my cables are all working. They are all eitehr Cat5e or Cat6.
Modem Model is Arris Surfboard SB8200
Can someone point me to how I can start troubleshooting the router? What settings do I need to start looking at?

Since you upgraded the speeds, try a factory reset.
During the reinstall, make sure to leave qos, access control, traffic monitoring, and parental controls all disabled.

I want to try and avoid a reset for now. Is it really the only option when once upgrades speeds?
I checked my current setting below.
QoS is NOT enabled.
Access Control is NOT Enabled
Traffic Monitoring: I don't see a specific setting for this but all traffic is allowed at all times
Parental Controls is DISABLED
Kindly let me know if you have any other ideas...

Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network. If this fails, you'll need to factory reset and setup from scratch. Do not load a saved configuration from file.
